Ed and Harriet Madden
Our family was chosen to live in the first Habitat home over 17 years ago. At the time we didn’t even know anything about Habitat For Humanity.
The original partner family who helped build this home never moved in and moved out of state. After I read an ad in the Penny Saver, I took action and when I got the phone call I jumped for joy and praised God. We always tell people that our home was built by Thousand Islands Area Habitat for Humanity and most importantly financed through this wonderful organization. We certainly could not have afforded owning a home the conventional way. We have enjoyed our home very much and everyday we are Thankful and Blessed to have home ownership as well as be the first partner family.
